The former belly dancer famous for doing TV in Egypt and foreign movies, Abir Sabri, was once a very famous Egyptian. However, she kind of fell off the face of the earth for awhile and did not make appearances anywhere - like she disappeared.

During this time that she was not heard from, she was actually making appearances on Saudi TV religious shows and disguised herself with veils over her face. On these appearances, she also made statements about religion, financing art and culture.

The Saudis have been getting their grip on Egyptian culture. Things that used to be as simple as the art of performing have been taken over to the point that only certain things are allowed. Unfortunately, that has trickled down to the tourism industry and the film industry in Egypt because things are just not as liberal as they used to be.

I think Egypt need to get Abir Sabri back into what she was best at. — belly dancing!
