A plane piloted by Lewis Martin from Bloomington, Ill crashed just after taking off in Des Moines Iowa. This flight was reported to be from an organization called Angel Flight Central Inc. which books flights for free to people who have health related problems and need transportation to medical facilities. One child was injured in the crash but luckily no one was killed. Also injured was the pilot and the child’s mother.

The plane, a Socata TBM-700, is said to have turned sideways shortly after takeoff and crashed according to a number of witnesses. It ended up in a ditch and struck a telephone pole.

After the crash, two survivors were able to walk away from the accident and all were taken to nearby hospital to get checked out.
