Tim Russert, the father of Luke Russert and the host of the NBC political show, Meet The Press has passed away. NBC’s Tom Brokaw went live earlier this afternoon to announce the news to the public. He had apparently collapsed while at work and was later pronounced dead at the Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington.

He will be known for doing some amazing work in the political news genre over the past 20 years or so. He was also known for being very well educated in what he presented on television and very dedicated to both his career and his family.

Russert was with NBC since 1984 and with the Meet The Press show since 1991 and it didn’t take long before he was well known for his political news coverage. He was also involved with MSNBC as a political analyst.
