It looks like a hurricane Alma is on it’s way in Nicaragua’s Pacific coast and it brings up a few questions. Would your insurance cover damages to your house if such damages came to it? How will you know if your insurance covers things like hurricanes and floods?

Recently in my area there was a sever flood and a lot of people found out that their insurance didn’t cover this. However, how would they have known? A lot of people simply do not have the time to look over their insurance documents with a fine tooth comb.

In times like this it is important to educate yourself with what your insurance covers. This does not only apply to house insurance but it also applies to other insurance as well like car insurance. Just remember, know what your insurance covers and you will know what to expect.
